Symphonic Series for Bands & Orchestras

  • Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall 881 7th Avenue New York, NY, 10019 United States (map)

Chad Nicholson, band clinician

Daniel Baldwin, orchestra clinician

The Symphonic Series provides bands and orchestras the opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall. Participating ensembles benefit from a private workshop and receive comments from a panel of nationally recognized clinicians. Clinicians for March 22nd are Dr. Chad Nicholson (University of Arizona) and Dr. Daniel Baldwin (Luther College). Audiences will delight in a varied program, from standards such as Copland’s Hoe-Down and Respighi’s Ancient Airs and Dances, to reigning contemporary stalwarts, like John Mackey’s Foundry and Roland Barrett’s Ghost Dances (Wounded Knee, 1890). Participating ensembles, seen below, represent some of the most talented bands and orchestras from across the entire country. These ensembles make up a concert you don’t want to miss—tickets can be found by clicking the button below!
