Don't miss Schubert’s Mass No. 2 in G Major performed by the Masterwork Festival Chorus and soloists with New York City Chamber Orchestra and conductor Jefferson Johnson at legendary Carnegie Hall. Considered to be one of Franz Schubert's most popular works, Mass No. 2 sets out to create an overall devotional mood through its modest use of music and chorus.
The concert will also feature the National Festival Chorus, led by conductors Tim Peter and Sandra Peter, performing an array of choral classics including Brahms’s Der Gang Zum Liebchen (The Trysting Song), Copland's Zion's Walls, Lynn Ahrens/Stephen Flaherty's Wheels of a Dream (from Ragtime), Joan Szymko’s Here, and more.
Also featured will be Arlington High School Wind Ensemble directed by Richard F. Guillen.
