Join Manhattan Concert Productions at Ryman Auditorium in Nashville for Tim Sharp and Wes Ramsey's Come Away to the Skies: A High Lonesome Mass.
With liturgical origin and bluegrass flair, A High Lonesome Mass combines the song traditions of early American hymns and traditional liturgy in a unique celebration of faith. Conducted by Dr. Tim Sharp, the work will be performed by the Masterworks Festival Chous and accompanied by the Chuck Nation Band, which will also present a solo set of Bluegrass music.
The concert will also feature the National Festival Chorus conducted by acclaimed American composer, Dr. Z. Randall Stroope, which will present six shorter arrangements by Robert Shaw and Alice Parker.
