Observation Deck Options
General Admission to one of the Observation Decks below is included as an option for those on a Molto or Presto Bundle. Each Observation Deck offers something unique and a wonderful opportunity to see the expansive skyline of New York City. Whether it’s the first thing you do in the city or the finale to your visit, you’ll appreciate the new perspective you gain from up above.
About
Nestled at the height of 30 Rockefeller Plaza, Top of the Rock’s three levels of indoor and outdoor observation decks deliver spectacular, unobstructed views of the city skyline. It boasts the best view of Central Park and the Empire State Building. With terraces facing east, west, north, and south, Top of the Rock’s panoramic sights make it the ultimate observation deck in NYC. Soaring 70 floors above Rockefeller Center, it’s one of the top things to do in New York City.
Hours of Operation
- Top of the Rock is open from 8am-12am (midnight), 7 days a week. Last entry is at 11:10pm. Hours may vary on holidays.
- Entry times are available every 10 minutes.
- Top of the Rock is busiest daily from 5pm-9pm. We recommend visiting outside of that time window.
Location
The main entrance is located on 50th Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues. Look for a big red carpet marking the entrance on the south side of the street.
What to Expect
- There is a security checkpoint for all visitors. You may bring backpacks and purses. Food and beverages are not permitted.
- There are three levels of observation decks to explore at Top of the Rock. The first deck includes the Radiance Wall and the gift shop. The second, featuring the Breezeway, is entirely outdoors. The third observation deck, located on the 70th floor open-air roof deck, is completely outdoors and free of a glass enclosure, making it perfect for photos.
- The average length of stay is about 45 minutes to an hour.
- In the case of inclement weather, portions of the deck may be closed for safety reasons. Guests will be advised about weather conditions and visibility prior to entry. Top of the Rock will not refund tickets in the case of inclement weather; however, they will reissue your ticket for a future time and date.
- The Beam and Skylift are not included, but can be added on an individual basis on the day of your visit for additional charge.

Step onto New York’s most famous open-air observation deck and take advantage of 360° views and see all of NYC including the Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park, the Statue of Liberty and so much more. On the way to the top, you’ll immerse yourself in the Empire State Building story and have several photo opportunities.

- The Empire State Building is open from 9am-12am (midnight), 7 days a week. Last entry is at 11:00pm. Hours of operation may vary seasonally and on holidays.
- Entry times are available every 15 minutes.
- The Empire State Building is typically busiest first thing in the morning. We recommend visiting between 12pm - 2pm if you want to dodge the crowds.
Location
The main entrance is located on 34th Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues.
What to Expect
- There is a security checkpoint for all visitors. You may bring backpacks and purses. Food and beverages are not permitted.
- There are three experiences to explore at The Empire State Building. The 2nd and 80th Floors include immersive exhibits where you'll learn about the building's history and even meet King Kong! The 86th Floor observation deck is an open-air deck with 360° views.
- The average length of stay is 60 - 90 minutes.
- The 102nd Floor Observation Deck has a limited capacity and can't typically accomodate large groups.

Location
The main entrance is located on Level 4 of The Shops & Restaurants at Hudson Yards which is between 10th and 11th Avenue.
Your visit to Edge NYC pairs well with a stop at Vessel or a walk on The Highline. There are also many food options inside the mall area that are good for groups.

Hours of Operation
- SUMMIT is open from 8am-10pm, 7 days a week. During the months of January & February, hours are 9am-10pm. The final entry time is always 8:00pm.
- Entry times are available every 30 minutes.
- MCP bundles include visit times during General Admission windows. "Sunset Hours" range depending on the time of year and are a premium rate. Groups choosing a sunset visit will incur an additional expense, added to the final MCP invoice.
Location
Street-level access is located at 45 East 42nd Street, between Vanderbilt and Madison Avenues. The entrance is inside the glass doors with the ‘Grand Central Terminal’ awning and located directly next to the TD Bank. Take the stairs down one flight and you will see the SUMMIT lobby. Do not take the escalators, as they will lead you into Grand Central Terminal.
What to Expect
- There is a security checkpoint for all visitors. You may bring backpacks and purses. Outside food and beverages are not permitted.
- SUMMIT is a three-level multi sensory art immersion unlike any other. You'll end your visit on the 93rd floor at the Après cafe and open-air terrace.
- We recommend you bring sunglasses. The reflective materials used throughout SUMMIT create a bright environment, especially at times of full sunlight. Dress with purpose. SUMMIT features many reflective floors. We recommend pants, shorts, or tights if possible. Wear comfortable, non-marking shoes. Stiletto heels, work boots, cleats and certain other footwear that can damage flooring are not permitted.
- The average length of stay is about 90 minutes.
- The Ascent external all-glass elevator experience is not included, but may be added on an individual basis on the day of your visit for additional charge.
