Included in your package is a one-hour rehearsal at the residency hotel the day prior to your performance. The room will be set with chairs and stands to match your submitted stage plot. Any instruments provided by or rented through MCP will be present for this rehearsal.
If your repertoire requires a piano, there will be either an upright piano or electric keyboard available for the clinic session. At Carnegie Hall, there will be a full grand piano available.
At the end of this rehearsal, MCP staff will talk through the logistics for concert day.

Tickets will go on sale 60 days prior to the concert. You will receive a ticket letter containing instructions on how to purchase tickets, as well as a discount code that you can forward to any interested friends and family. Tickets are sold directly through the Carnegie Hall Box Office. Tickets range in price from $20-$110. All registered Non-Performers will receive a Premium $110 ticket.
-
Carnegie Hall is a union hall, meaning the stage hands must set the chairs and stands for your ensemble. We ask you to complete a detailed stage plot of your ensemble that will be given to the Carnegie Hall stagehands on performance day.
-
Your ensemble's exact sound check time will be communicated once we have received approval from Carnegie Hall on the day schedule - about 60 days in advance. A small number of necessary non-performers from your ensemble will be allowed to attend and observe the soundcheck.

The hotel does not assume specific placement of sleeping rooms for groups - do not expect to be on the same floor. As NYC is a vertical city, there are many floors but a smaller number of rooms on each. Your sleeping rooms will be scattered through different floors of the hotel. Elevators are generally speedy so getting between different floors is quick. Please know, any special requests for room placement will delay check in.
